Bangalore on ONYOMO
Lost in Bangalore? Not sure which hotel to stay at or which restaurent to dine in Bangalore? Where to buy the latest iPad in Bangalore? Well few new generation VC funded engineers have started a new website by name http://www.onyomo.com. Abbrevation for On Your Move. The site claims to provide all these data in Bangalore and NCR at your fingertip. Quite difficult to visualize when your lost in the middle of Bangalore and need to find a computer to log on to thier website and find the required location...(I guess you get the drift..)The website was featured in Businessworld as the new generation web 2.0 product. I guess everyone are allowed again allowed to lose money as in web 1.0.Website looks pretty neat, but the same cannot be said of the functionalities. Tried searching for Bangalore-Cinema and it took be to Saket.(Guess that's in Delhi or NCR and not in Bangalore)Probably something wrong in my search capability or the developers at www.onyomo.com need to do some real good system testing or probably because the website is in beta.

You brought up a good point regarding our mission of putting information at the fingertips. I am happy to tell you that a public beta of SMS Search for Delhi/NCR is underway and very soon you'll see it for Bangalore also.
Besides Web and Mobiles, we also have IM as a delivery platform. But more on this later.
And about your search problem: Searching for Bangalore-Cinema can never lead you to Saket unless you did not choose Bangalore as your city (a city selection box is right there next to the search box).
