Google Talk with Google Music Tunes and Trends in India
In my earlier post I had mentioned about
Radio Verve which claims to be the first Indian Internet Radio service.
However, ever wondered if the Desi/Indian music tune you were listening to is popular or how popular it is? Wondered what was India's favourite top ten music tunes last week?
Was it Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna's Mitwa or was it a Western band or yet to be released Munabhai Lagao Raho title song?
Google has come up with a music tracker, named Google Music Trends which makes use of analytics to list down the most popular music being listened to by its Google Talk user. As a music trend analyser it a very nifty application. Google Music Trends tracks Google Talk user making use of iTunes, Winamp, Windows Media Player or Yahoo Music Engine.
Indian music lovers can select the required option and follow the latest trend.
For the record,
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna's music tune Mitwa is at number 2, followed by
Atif Aslam's music tune Tere Bin. Other Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna's music tunes like Tumhi Dekho Naa,Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna,Rock N Roll Soniye
find honourable mention.
But the first place for the most popular music tune listened by Indians last week goes to Boulevard Of Broken Dreams by Green Day!
Green Day sure must be happy.
